The Toyota Sienna has been around since 1998 and it is currently in its third generation. The minivan is known for its spacious interior and large cargo room. The 2017 Toyota Sienna received a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The side crash test received five stars, the highest possible rating, from the NHTSA. The government organization also awarded a four star safety rating for the frontal crash test and the rollover crash test. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rated the small overlap front test as acceptable, an average rating. All other crash tests performed by the IIHS received a good safety rating, the highest possible rating.
