Not sure if you’re a soft or firm mattress kind of person? Layla is here to help you figure it out. Its flippable mattress has two sides — one soft and one firm — so you don’t have to take a stab in the dark about what firmness level you like sleeping on.

With its dual-firmness feature, cooling and antimicrobial copper-infused foam and lifetime warranty, the Layla mattress has a lot to offer. This could be an option if you’re not sure what softness level you like to sleep on or if you’ve never tried memory foam before.
But if you prefer something in between — not too soft and not too firm — this bed might not be the best pick for you.

Layla currently only makes one mattress model. But that’s OK, because it comes with a soft and a firm side. Flip it to your liking, or flip it over to satisfy your guests’ preferences.
Each mattress contains four layers of memory foam — two of which are infused with copper. Copper is said to help you stay cool while you sleep, in addition to keeping your bed clean and maybe even helping your muscles relax and recharge.
At just $399 for a twin and $899 for a California king, the Layla mattress is one of the more affordable memory foam beds out there.
Layla’s checkout page is secured by SSL technology, so you can rest assured your credit card information is transmitted to its servers safely. You can also choose PayPal at checkout.
Yes, Layla offers financing options through Affirm. Select the Affirm button at checkout, and get an instant answer about your eligibility. It will conduct a soft pull of your credit before extending rates between 0% and 30% APR.
The Layla mattress is made of four unique layers of memory foam. One side is a three-inch layer of copper-infused, medium-soft memory foam, and the other is a one-inch layer of firm memory foam. Between is a base layer of support foam and a two-inch layer of convoluted foam to optimize air flow.
You can use a box spring or platform bed with three-inch slats for the best support for your Layla mattress.
Layla offers a generous lifetime warranty, but our research shows that memory foam mattresses tend to last anywhere from six to 10 years.
Layla’s lifetime warranty covers sagging of more than one inch, loss of shape, splitting and cracking of the foam and loss of mattress height.
The Layla mattress was designed to flip depending on whether you like a softer or firmer feel. Once you find a side that works best for you, there’s no need to keep flipping it.
The company suggests rotating your mattress from head to foot each time you change your bedding or at least once per month.

Layla’s biggest claim to fame is its flippable mattress. Even with risk-free trial periods, buying a bed online can be tough. With Layla’s reversible mattress that has both a soft and a firm side, you can test out two firmness levels in one. If you’ll use this mattress in a spare bedroom, you can offer your overnight guests the bed of their dreams.
Online reviews for the Layla mattress are overwhelmingly positive. Lots of happy sleepers say their back, hip and shoulder pain went away as soon as they started sleeping on their new bed.
The dual-sided feature also sounds like a big hit, especially among those who’ve never slept on a foam mattress or ordered one online before. Layla’s customer service team also gets two thumbs up online.
Some customers say that if you like an extremely soft or extremely firm mattress, this one might not be the best fit for you.
There are a few ways to get in touch with Layla’s “Customer Delight” team:
Layla and Nectar both offer lifetime warranties on their similarly priced mattresses. Shipping, returns and financing options are also very similar. Nectar offers a longer trial period, though — a full 365 days, compared with Layla’s 120-day trial.
Nectar’s cooling gel foam mattress is a bit thicker than Layla’s copper-infused, dual-firmness memory foam mattress. But Layla products are 100% made in the US, while Nectar’s aren’t. Both mattresses should have roughly the same durability.
