In addition, you get to earn a generous signup bonus and you won't pay an annual fee.
  • Annual fee: Waived for the first year. You won't have to worry about paying the annual fee in your first year. Starting the second year, you'll pay $99 annually.

How to compare Citi business cards

When you’re deciding between Citi business cards, consider the rewards you’ll receive and whether you can take advantage of them.

If you want to earn rewards on American Airlines and their Oneworld Alliance partners, consider the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® Mastercard®.

But if you spend most of your money on gas, dining, travel and Costco purchases, the Costco Anywhere Visa® Business Card is the way to go.

Want to earn more American Airlines miles?

If you often fly with American Airlines and their partners, consider combining personal American Airlines cobranded cards with small business credit cards. This way you’ll maximize the rewards you earn and the perks you get.

Why choose a Citi business credit card?

  • Separate personal and business expenses. There can be many benefits to getting a business card, such as establishing business credit history, keeping your personal credit utilization low and acquiring employee cards.
  • You’re a regular customer with American Airlines or Costco. Citi’s business credit cards reward purchases with these brands, plus you get a lot of brand-specific perks, such as your first checked bag free and savings on in-flight Wi-FI with the American Airlines card.
  • Don’t want your business card to affect your personal credit. Citi business credit cards don’t report card activity to personal credit bureaus, meaning your personal credit score won’t be affected if you miss a payment on your Citi business credit card.

Alternative business cards

If you rarely fly with American Airlines, or if your business doesn’t spend much on gas and travel, there are other business credit cards to consider. You can choose from cards with rewards on office supplies, Internet and wireless services or shipping, or you can get a card with flexible balance payment options.
