What is my excess?

Your excess is the amount of money that you’ll be expected to contribute if you make a claim.

John Lewis offers you the option of reducing your premiums by choosing your excess amount. The higher the excess amount, the lower the premiums.

For pets nine-years-old or more, the excess will be either the amount you choose or 20% of the treatment costs, whichever is higher.

For more details about your excess, read your policy schedule.
