first direct launched its free perks rewards programme in July 2025. To register, you’ll need to be a first direct customer.
Our verdict: Is first direct perks any good?
If you’re an existing first direct customer, it’s worth signing up for the bank’s new perks reward programme, given you won’t have to pay anything for doing so.
Once signed up in the app, you’ll be able to view a range of discounts and offers for eating out, cinema trips, shopping, utility bills, holidays and so on. Whether you want to take advantage of these is up to you.
But while you have nothing to lose by signing up if you already hold an account with first direct, it’s unlikely to be worth switching to the bank for this benefit alone.
