Tesco Bank Travel Money

Supermarket giant Tesco launched Tesco Bank as a joint venture with Royal Bank of Scotland back in 1997. It became 100% owned by Tesco in 2008, before Barclays acquired the bank’s retail banking business (credit cards, loans and savings) in November 2024 – although the Tesco Bank brand continues to be used.

Alongside this, you can buy and sell travel money with Tesco too. Read on to find out whether it’s the right provider for your travel money needs.

If you are ordering a Travel Money card, you must load at least £50 onto it and your balance cannot exceed £5,000. The maximum you can load onto your card within a 12-month period is £30,000.

If you order travel money of £500 or more online, home delivery is free. For online orders less than £500, you pay £2.95 for delivery.

We show offers we can track - that's not every product on the market...yet. Unless we've said otherwise, products are in no particular order. The terms "best", "top", "cheap" (and variations of these) aren't ratings, though we always explain what's great about a product when we highlight it. This is subject to our terms of use. When you make major financial decisions, consider getting independent financial advice. Always consider your own circumstances when you compare products so you get what's right for you.
