Expert review

If you’re in the market for a credit card and consider Topman as the staple supplier of your wardrobe, the Topman Mastercard may catch your interest.

Like with its Topshop sister card, if you’re itching to start shopping immediately, you can get same-day credit to use on online purchases through the Topman website.

You can also get up to £15 worth of bonus points to spend at Topman when you sign up, and will receive double reward points on all Topman and other Arcadia brand purchases. Naturally, reward points can only be spent at Topman, giving the card limited appeal to those who like to mix it up with their sartorial shopping choices.

However, beyond the Topman-specific perks, the card itself is fairly standard, with a relatively average APR and up to 56 days interest-free on purchases.

So unless you’re a Topman tragic and are certain to make the most of the double reward points, it’s probably a good idea to at least consider alternative cards.

Approval for any credit card will depend on your status. The representative APRs shown represent the interest rate offered to most successful applicants. Depending on your personal circumstances the APR you're offered may be higher, or you may not be offered credit at all. Fees and rates are subject to change without notice. It's always wise to check the terms of any deal before you borrow.

Repayment options

You can make manual repayments through NewDay Ltd's app by logging in to your online banking or over the phone (0333 220 2531). Alternatively, you may wish to set up a direct debit.

A direct debit protects you from forgetting to make a repayment and either damaging your credit score, getting hit with a penalty fee (£12) or losing any promotional rates as a result.

You can arrange a direct debit for repayments when you apply for the credit card. The table below shows the options available.

Choose from the following direct debit options for your monthly repayments:
