Which factors affect my Peugeot 307 insurance rate?

There are a number of factors that may be influential on your premium rate. These factors include:

  • Your age, marital status, job and where you live
  • The model and age of your car
  • Your car’s safety rating, security and any anti-theft precautions
  • Annual mileage
  • Your driving history and activity
  • The size of your car’s engine

How can I save on my Peugeot 307 premiums?

When it comes to your premiums, there are several tricks that you could try to save some money. We’ve devised a list of tips for you to try below:

  • Pay annually rather than monthly. By paying annually, you could save an average of £58.58 a year.
  • Make yourself a secure investment. By keeping a clean history of no claims and a good credit rating, you may be rewarded by your provider with lower premiums.
  • Be economical about your car usage. By limiting your car usage, you will keep your mileage, and thus your premiums, low.
  • Don’t just accept your renewal quote. When it’s time for renewal, make sure you look around and compare some quotes before you consider accepting your renewal quote.
  • Install extra safety precautions. As providers don’t like to insure risks, the safer you can make your vehicle, the lower your premiums may become.
  • Avoid driving convictions. Convictions of any kind will increase the price of your premiums, so do your best to avoid any.

Peugeot 307 facts

  • The Peugeot 307 was awarded the European Car of the Year award in 2002.
  • The 307 continued to be produced and sold in China and South American markets until 2014, even though production in Europe had ceased in 2008.
  • Peugeot announced a diesel-electric hybrid engine for the 307 that would launch in 2010. However, by then they had ceased production on the 307, and the hybrid was never launched.

Bottom line

The Peugeot 307 has never been considered one of the best hatchbacks on the road, even at its relatively low price point. With that said, it is relatively cheap to insure and you can reduce the cost of your premiums even further.
