MoneySuperMarket Investments investing review 2026

Our verdict

MoneySuperMarket has entered the retail investing space by embedding a sleek, low-cost investment feature directly into its widely popular personal finance app. By partnering with fund providers like Vanguard, MoneySuperMarket delivers an accessible, jargon-free way for beginners and hands-off investors to grow their wealth.

With no investing commissions and a low annual platform fee of 0.34%, the unoriginally named “Investments” offers exceptional value for money. On top of that, new investors receive their first 3 months of platform fees refunded as SuperSaveClub rewards.

While experienced investors might find the selection of 42 funds and ETFs restrictive, MoneySuperMarket provides a curated, stress-free entry point into investing for those who don’t want to dive too deep into the world of investing.

Pros

  • Low 0.34% platform fee
  • Zero commissions
  • Free stocks and shares ISA wrapper
  • Minimum deposit and investment starting at £1
  • Earn interest on uninvested cash
  • Bite-sized educational content via the Training Academy

Cons

  • Limited to funds and ETFs only
  • Restrictive investment choice of 42 options
  • The app is basic and lacks tools or insights
  • No SIPP, LISA, or Junior ISA wrappers currently available
  • Mobile app only (no desktop trading platform)
  • Lacks advanced charting tools, order types, or social trading features

Who might MoneySuperMarket Investments suit?

If you want a straightforward, low-cost way to invest in ready-made portfolios or funds without getting overwhelmed by complex charts, MoneySuperMarket is ideal. It’s tailored for beginners, hands-off savers, and cost-conscious investors who want to manage their investments alongside their broader personal finances in its app.

However, if you’re an active investor looking to buy individual stocks or open a pension (SIPP), MoneySuperMarket won’t meet your needs. You may want to compare other top trading platforms to find a provider offering a broader asset and account choices.

Hands on test: I tried MoneySuperMarket Investments’s investing app

"With a streamlined selection of 42 investments (including 5 popular ready-made portfolios managed by Vanguard) using MoneySuperMarket’s Investment feature is smooth and straightforward. It operates directly inside the main MoneySuperMarket app under the “Save & Invest” tab, avoiding the need for a separate app download.

Selecting a portfolio or fund takes only a few taps, and fractional investing allows you to get started with as little as £1. The user interface strips away unnecessary market noise and complex intricacies, focusing instead on clear performance graphs, transparent fund fee breakdowns, and bite-sized learning materials. I think it delivers a clean, reassuring experience for first-time investors, similar to a fintech banking app."
