CrowdStreet is best for accredited investors

CrowdStreet gives investors a way to invest in private commercial real estate, but its offerings are limited to accredited investors only. These are individuals who:
  • Earned over $200,000 (or $300,000 together with a spouse) in each of the last two years and expect the same for this year.
  • Have a net worth of at least $1 million, alone or together with a spouse, excluding the value of the individual’s primary residence.
  • Holds in good standing a Series 7, 65 or 82 license.

Is CrowdStreet legit?

Yes, CrowdStreet is a legitimate company. It’s registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). It’s also a federally registered investment advisor. Investors have invested more than $3.8 billion through CrowdStreet since its 2012 founding.
