If you live in Northern Ireland and are looking for a switching deal, Danske Bank is offering £175 to switch. Here’s how to get the full amount and which accounts are included in the deal. For a full list of switching offers on the market, you can visit our switching deals guide.
How much can I get with Danske Bank’s switch deal?
You get £100 within 60 days of opening your account if you complete your switch using the Current Account Switch service, deposit £1,000 and register and use Danske Bank’s online banking.
You can then get an extra £25 a month for up to 3 months by completing 11 debit card transactions per month. This brings you to a total of £175 for the whole switch offer.
With Danske Bank’s Reward account, you get a £5 reward every month if you pay in at least £1,000, complete at least 8 debit card transactions and receive digital statements. By doing so, you can earn an additional £36 per year after accounting for the £2 monthly fee.
That’s £211 in your first year, including switching bonus, spend offer and monthly rewards.
Who can get the deal?
To get the £100 switch offer, you must be a new Danske Bank personal current account customer and open a new Danske Reward, Danske Choice or Danske Freedom current account. It’s important to note that you’ll only be able to open an account with Danske Bank if you live in Northern Ireland.
Then within 60 days of your account being open, you’ll need to:
- Complete a full switch using the Current Account Switch Service
- Pay at least £1,000 into your new account
- Register for and log in to Danske eBanking or the mobile banking app
To get the extra £75, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
- Successfully qualify for the switch offer and receive the £100 payment into your new account
- In each consecutive calendar month following the switch offer payment, complete at least 11 debit card transactions
If you do this, then Danske Bank will pay £25 directly into your new account within 10 business days of the end of each calendar month.
You’ll not be able to get the offer if you’ve previously benefited from a switch offer from Danske Bank since 1 January 2023.
When the offer ends
There’s no end date for the offer, but it could be withdrawn at any time.
