What is my excess?

An excess is the amount of money that you will be expected to pay if you make a claim.

Whilst you will not have to pay an excess for your breakdown cover, you will have to pay one should you receive a replacement vehicle.

For full details about the excess on your breakdown cover, please consult your breakdown cover policy.

What is the claims process for ASDA Money?

If you break down and need to make claim, you can call the ASDA Money hotline number.

Pros and cons for ASDA Money breakdown cover

Pros

  • 4 out of 5 cars are successfully fixed at the roadside
  • 24/7 roadside assistance all year
  • 42-minute average response time

Cons

  • No option to customise policies
  • Policy information is not easily accessible

Our verdict

ASDA Money offers a good range of policies. The European cover is one of the best in the market; ASDA Money has been awarded 5 stars by the policy analyst Defaqto for its breakdown cover policies.

ASDA Money says it has an average response time of 42 minutes and manages to successfully fix 4 out of 5 breakdowns at the roadside. One downside is that the product range isn’t large enough to enable you to customise your policy exactly to your needs by adding and removing parts of the policy.

Overall, ASDA Money is a good provider and with the pedigree of LV= to back it up, would be a good choice for many.
