April 24, 2025: Unilever released its Q1 trading statement, showing a 3.0% rise in underlying sales growth. CEO Fernado Fernandez attributed this to the strength of Unilever's "increasingly premium and innovation-led portfolio in developed markets"
April 9, 2025: Ahead of its AGM on the 30th, proxy advisor ISS (Institutional Shareholder Services) has recommended that Unilever shareholders should vote against proposed adjustments to chief executive Fernando Fernandez's €1.8m salary. It expected to see a greater reduction than the €50,000 proposed, arguing "The company does not appear to have sufficiently accounted previously raised shareholder concerns on the CEO role's pay arrangement".

Buying shares in just one company is generally considered a riskier bet than investing in a range of investments - AKA a "diversified portfolio". Experts generally recommend holding a mix of investments in specific assets and funds. Funds are ready-made portfolios of multiple companies' shares (potentially including Unilever), and the idea is that drops in the value of one constituent company's share price might be offset by rises in others.
Unilever is a major part of the London stock exchange, so it's included in many global funds and investment trusts, as well as tracker-style exchange traded funds (ETFs).
