Founded in 1896, Japanese brand Kawasaki has established itself as a key contender in the motorcycle market. It also offers a range of leisure vehicles including ATVs, side-by-sides and Jet Skis. Though Kawasaki doesn’t have its own financing, it partners with lenders like Sheffield Financial and Synchrony Bank to offer special deals to buyers.
How can I finance a Kawasaki?
There are a few ways to finance your Kawasaki — from motorcycle and personal loans to applying directly through a dealer.
Motorcycle loans. Many banks, credit unions and online lenders offer motorcycle loans. Since your bike acts as collateral, you may be able to score a lower interest rate than going with an unsecured loan. However, this likely isn’t your fastest option. It takes time to compare lenders and find an offer that works for you.
Personal loans. These are much easier to come by than motorcycle loans. You can typically borrow anywhere from $5,000 to $50,000 with terms from three to seven years. But because these loans are unsecured, you may face higher interest rates than going with a loan backed by the bike you’re buying. And it could take a few days to a few weeks to get your loan depending on the type of lender you go with.
Dealer financing. Most authorized Kawasaki dealers offer financing through third-party lenders like Synchrony Bank and Sheffield Financial. This can be a quick option — you may be able to drive off the lot the same day you apply — but could be more costly than applying with an outside lender yourself. Generally, it’s best to check your rates for a motorcycle loan first and use it as a negotiating tool to score a better offer from the dealer.
Kawaski Credit Card through Citibank. You can also apply for a Kawaski Credit Card at authorized dealers and use it to purchase your new motorcycle or ATV.
As always, the exact rates and terms you qualify for will depend on your creditworthiness and personal financial situation.
Does Kawasaki offer special discounts or programs?
Yes, Kawasaki has a special discount for members of the US military. If you’re an active-duty servicemember, reservist or retiree, you may be eligible for up to $250 off a new Kawasaki. The motorcycle brand also runs seasonal promotions throughout the year. Past offers have included $400 off qualifying side-by-side vehicles, $100 off select youth ATVs and off-road vehicles and 0% APR financing for one year when using your Kawasaki Credit Card.*

What will a new Kawasaki cost me?
The cost of your new Kawasaki will vary based on where you live, special promotions you qualify for and extra features you add on to your bike. Here’s a rundown of the manufacturer suggested retail prices (MSRPs) of some of Kawasaki’s most anticipated 2019 motorcycle models.
Kawasaki created the Jet Ski, and it’s also known for its durable side-by-side vehicles and ATVs.
Jet Skis. These are on the higher end of the watercraft price spectrum, with the cheapest option starting at $9,699 and the most expensive model sitting at $15,299 — before additional features and accessories.
Side-by-side vehicles. Models range from small two-passenger options starting at $6,699 to four- and six-passenger vehicles reaching base MSRPs of $15,799.
ATVs. Price tags range from $4,299 all the way up to $8,999 for its adult ATVs. Kawasaki also builds youth models for kids ages six and up that start at $1,999.
Does a new Kawasaki come with a warranty?
Yes, but the exact length of your warranty depends on the model you buy. Most motorcycles and all ATVs have a one-year limited warranty. Kawasaki side-by-side models have a three-year limited warranty, while Jet Skis come with no warranty at all.
This covers any defective material or workmanship, but repairs needs to be done at an authorized Kawasaki dealer within the US — excluding Hawaii. You’re on the hook for towing and transportation costs, however.
While this bare-bones warranty isn’t the most exceptional coverage out there, it does provide a little recourse if there are defects on your bike or other Kawasaki vehicle.
Bottom line
If you’re looking for a durable bike, ATV or watercraft, Kawasaki likely made it to the top of your list. Though its prices are higher than some of the competition, you have several financing options to consider — from motorcycle and personal loans to dealer financing or applying for a Kawasaki Credit Card. And you could score a discount depending on what seasonal promotions are available.
Yes. If your business needs a heavy-duty side-by-side vehicle or ATV, you may want to consider Kawasaki. Exact terms and rates aren’t listed on its website, however, so you’ll need to contact Kawasaki’s business fleet sales department for more information.
The Kawasaki Protection Plus program is optional coverage you can buy to extend your limited warranty one to four years. It covers the replacement of a variety of parts and components at no cost to you.
No, but it does offer financing deals through Citibank, Synchrony Bank, Sheffield Financial and other third-party lenders. You can check out your options by visiting Kawasaki’s Current Offers page on its website or contacting a local dealer near you.
