Vimeo stock is not yet available to purchase on any exchange. But it's expected to go public soon. Here's what we know — and how to buy in when it launches.
Vimeo currently doesn’t have an IPO. The video platform is a subsidiary of publicly-traded company IAC. However, IAC in November 2020 announced it plans to spinoff Vimeo into a separate entity. If Vimeo goes public, investors would be able to buy separate shares of both Vimeo and IAC.
In a letter to shareholders, IAC CEO Joey Levin said it’s unclear what the framework of a spinoff would look like or what the timeline would be.
IAC in a statement said Vimeo’s valuation rose to $2.75 billion after raising $150 million in equity from Thrive Capital and GIC.
According to its third-quarter 2020 earnings report, Vimeo’s revenue grew 44% year over year to $75.1 million. Meanwhile, it grew its subscribers by 46% to 1.46 million.
In the event of a spinoff, current investors of IAC would receive new tax-free shares of Vimeo.
Vimeo has not yet filed a viewable Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. We'll update this page with information as it becomes available.
There's no news yet about how much the stock will cost when it goes public. No date has been set for when the stock will be publicly available.
Once Vimeo goes public, you'll need a brokerage account to invest. Consider opening a brokerage account today so you're ready as soon as the stock hits the market.

It's impossible to predict how any stock will perform — and IPOs can be particularly volatile. But evaluating the performance of companies like Vimeo can be useful in determining how the market is performing and whether now is a good time to invest in this industry. Select a company to learn more about what they do and how their stock performs, including market capitalization, the price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio, price/earnings-to-growth (PEG) ratio and dividend yield. While this list includes a selection of the most well-known and popular stocks, it doesn't include every stock available.
