Post Office Third Party Cover
Third party cover is the most basic form of car insurance legally accepted on UK roads.
If you are involved in an accident, Post Office will pay out to the third party. However, you won’t be compensated for any damage done to your own vehicle.
Post Office Third Party Fire and Theft Cover
Third party fire and theft cover gives you slightly more protection than the basic third party cover.
It covers injuries and damages to third parties and their property. In addition, your own vehicle is covered for any damage caused by fire or theft.
However, it does not cover your car if it is damaged in other ways such as a crash.
Post Office Comprehensive Cover
Comprehensive car insurance is the highest level of cover you can get with Post Office.
It includes third party cover, fire and theft cover and pay out to repair or replace your car if it is damaged in an accident or suffers malicious damage.

An excess is the amount of money that you are expected to contribute when you make a claim.

What is the claims process for the Post Office car insurance?
If you need to make a claim, you can call the Post Office claims hotline.
You can call on 0345 073 1005. The service is in operation 24/7.
When you make a claim, make sure you have your policy number to hand. You can find this in your policy documents.
