What is 4 Medical Testing?
4 Medical Testing provides a range of COVID tests for travel and is on the UK government’s list of testing providers. This means the tests have met the government’s minimum standards for safety and performance and 4 Medical Testing is in the process of being accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
What types of COVID tests can I get from 4 Medical Testing?
4 Medical Testing sells fit to fly PCR tests, day 2 and day 8 tests and Test to Release tests for day 5 of quarantine (in England). It also sells a range of different testing packages, depending on your needs.

What is 4 Medical Testing’s refund policy?
Its dispatched kits will not be accepted as returns and will not be exchanged for a refund. Cancelations 3 days or more before arrival in the UK will get a refund minus £20 per kit for admin charges. In-clinic fit to fly cancelations notified over 24 hours from the test date will get a refund minus a £25 admin charge. Refunds can take up to 30 days to be fully processed and must be requested within 14 days of purchase.
4 Medical Testing customer reviews

Are 4 Medical Testing tests accurate?
The 4 Medical Testing website provides no information on the efficacy of its COVID tests. But, while no COVID test is 100% accurate, we can assume that as 4 Medical Testing is included on the government’s list of test providers its tests are fit for purpose.

Pros and cons of 4 Medical Testing
- Government-listed COVID test provider
- Testing clinics in London and Manchester
- At home testing packages available
- In-clinic tests in Manchester offer good value for money
- Website tricky to navigate
- Limited customer feedback available
- No proof of efficacy
- Some in-clinic services are for NHS staff only
Our verdict: Is 4 Medical Testing any good?
It’s hard to say. There’s limited customer feedback for 4 Medical Testing online and the website doesn’t give much indication of how effective the tests are. Information on the turnaround times for processing test results is also lacking, so you might be taking a gamble if you need your results processed quickly.
On a more positive note, the tests offer good value for money when compared to other providers. Also, its testing clinics are positively reviewed, which should offer some peace of mind if you plan on booking an in-person test.
