ACE Cash Express is a good choice for those who want a personal lending experience. It has over 950 store locations, and in some states, you can apply online and pick up your funds the same day you apply. It also earns high ratings on Trustpilot and has a number of financial services available — without needing to borrow a loan. But for some borrowers, the cost is quite high. And depending on your state, you may not have access to certain services or loan products.
You should compare more lenders and connection services before you apply to be sure you’re getting the best deal.
ACE Cash Express rates, fees and terms
ACE Cash Express offers payday loans and installment loans. But the cost of your loan — along with how much you can borrow and the loan term — will depend on your state.
While some states have clear fee schedules available on ACE’s website, others don’t, so you’ll need to call customer service or visit a store to learn more about the potential financing fee of your loan.

What information do I need to apply?
To complete an application with ACE Cash Express, you will need to provide a few basic details, including:
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Income per paycheck
- Bank account details
If you choose to apply at an ACE Cash Express store, you will need to bring a valid government-issued photo ID as well as proof of income and proof of a checking account.
How do I apply?
ACE Cash Express allows you to apply online or at one of its store locations — but your exact options will be limited to the state you live in. To get started with an online application, click the Go to site button or go to the ACE Cash Express website. From here, you’ll need to provide a few basic details about yourself, your employment and your income.
It’s important that you review the potential cost of your loan before you submit an application: ACE Cash Express may check your credit through Equifax, TransUnion, LexisNexis or FactorTrust, which could temporarily lower your credit score.
If approved, ACE Cash Express will provide you with loan documents to sign. These will outline your loan’s due date and total cost. Read it over carefully so you know exactly how much you owe and when you need to pay your loan.
Depending on your state, you may be able to pick up your cash at a store on the same day you apply. If not, you’ll need to wait one to two business days for your loan to process into your checking account.
You can also decide to return your loan. If you change your mind, you can cancel your loan within 72 hours by emailing, calling or visiting ACE Cash Express.
What are my repayment options?
If you choose an online loan, you can repay it online, at an ACE Cash Express location or by mail with a check or money order. If you choose an in-store loan, your options will depend on your state.
Florida, Kansas, Ohio, Texas and Virginia residents can opt to pay in store or online. Otherwise, you will need to visit the store where you applied to make your payment on or before the due date.
There are no fees for prepayment, and you may even be able to reduce the amount you pay overall by paying off your loan early. Late fees and other fees may vary — check your loan agreement for more details.
