Our verdict
This may be a decent app, but there’s very little that sets it apart from the competition.
Grant Cash, formerly Oasis, is a cash app that offers advances up to $250, with no late fees or interest charges. Like similar cash advance apps, you’ll repay it on your next pay day, and no credit check is required to qualify. But its advances are on the low end compared to apps that offer advances up to $500 or more, and you’ll likely need to upgrade to Grant Plus for $9.99 a month to qualify for fast transfers. Customer reviews say the app can be glitchy and inconsistent, and advances start small. Plus, there’s no phone number to call, so the only ways to connect with customer service are by email or chatbot.
Best for: People looking to borrow small amounts between paychecks.

Is Grant legit?
Yes, Grant is a legit cash advance app developed by Kikoff Inc., a financial technology company that also operates a credit-building app. It uses bank-level encryption to secure your data, and it only shares your information with your consent. You can view its privacy policy on its website.
What makes Grant shine?
We like that Grant is up front about its fees, where some apps tend to bury the costs in the fine print. On its main webpage, it states that membership is $9.99 a month, and same-day transfers are between $2 and $8 dollars. It also claims to have a free option, where you can request an advance by email without having to pay for a subscription. However, we didn’t find any users who have used that method.
But other than that, Grant cash advances don’t really stand out from the crowd. Like most cash advance apps, there’s no interest or late fees and no credit checks. But its highest advance limit is only $250, and it requires a monthly fee for the most convenient access to cash advances — so you may look into apps like Grant cash advance but with higher limits if you need access to more cash.
Where Grant falls short
Even though Grant says you can request an advance via email without a membership, chances are that transfer might take a little time, if it works at all. The company states that emails are typically returned within one business day, so it probably won’t help if you need gas money right now or have another immediate expenditure.
Plus, several customer reviews say they were required to get a membership to qualify for advances. So you’ll probably need to pay $9.99 a month for a subscription if you want fast access to cash. Or you can explore these apps that don’t charge monthly fees and are practically free to use unless you need an instant transfer.
It also doesn’t have a phone number to call if you need help. You can only contact customer service by email or through a chatbot on the app or its website.

There’s no activity on Grant’s Better Business Bureau (BBB) page yet. The BBB states that Grant is too new and doesn’t have a sufficient track record yet to rate it. And, it only has a single complaint on Trustpilot. That reviewer claims Grant charged it twice for the subscription fee and then refused to refund the money.
By contrast, there are thousands of reviews on both app stores, which are largely positive. Customers say advances are easy to get, they were connected quickly and approved within minutes.
But one of the most common complaints is that the app worked fine for a while, and then it suddenly couldn’t detect their paychecks. Others complain of poor customer service, a glitchy app, small advances and not qualifying for new advances after successfully repaying past ones.
