The cheapest places to get a pint (out of the 56 cities analysed) are Doncaster and Bradford. A beer here will cost you £3.25, which is £1.83 less than the UK average of £5.50.
Hull is the next cheapest city to buy a beer, with an average price of £3.36. It’s followed by Sunderland (£3.50) and Dundee (£3.99).
On the pricier side, Oxford is the second most expensive city to buy a beer, charging £6.36 on average. It’s followed by Brighton (£6.25), while Bath, Bristol, Edinburgh and Winchester all have an average pint price of £6.
A pint of beer will cost you £6.75 on average in London – the UK’s most expensive city to grab a drink. This is up 14% from an average price of £5.90 in 2023. A London pint is £1.25 more than the UK average and £3.50 more than the UK’s cheapest city.
