How to buy Openreach shares

Get a stake in the UK's telecoms infrastructure custodian, Openreach, by investing in BT Group.

Openreach is the company that maintains telephone cables, ducts, cabinets and exchanges across the UK. It is a division of BT, but manages the broadband and telephone connection for almost every home in the UK, and even rival operators.

So it's possible to invest in Openreach, but as it’s owned by BT, you’d need to buy BT shares. Bear in mind that BT's share price will reflect more than just the success of Openreach. EE and Plusnet are under the same umbrella, for example.
