Round 1: Stated functions

Functions includeAir fry, Grill, Roast, Bake, Steam, Sear/Saute, Pressure cook, Slow cook, Keep warm, Max crispAir fry, Grill, Roast, Bake, Dehydrate
Stated functions★★★★★★★★★★

The OP450UK incoporates more functions than the AG301UK. Its two lids means it can crisp food (air fry, grill, roast and bake) and use liquids to steam, pressure cook and slow cook certain foods. The AG301UK is no weakling, though. Its powerful Max Crisp function at 240C will cook frozen food fast and it’s got the griddle pan for those authenic grill marks on steak and salmon.

Round 2: Capacity and size

Cooking zones11
Dimensions (HxWxD)35cm x 39cm x 33cm 23.5cm x 35.6cm x 45cm
Capacity and size★★★★★★★★★★

The OP450UK is naturally the bigger machine, given the magic happens in its large 7.5L pot. It’ll cook for a family of 6 or more. It’s capacity is a double-edged sword as this makes it bulky. The AG301UK will feed a family of 4 with a decent capacity, but its depth is scary and one of the biggest we’ve reviewed. Both are not the best for small kitchens.

Round 3: Convenience

Dishwasher-safe parts
Rotating basket

These Ninjas are neck and neck in terms of convenience. They’re both easy to clean and their functions are simple to operate. Neither have presets like other air fryer brands so you will have to play around with times and temperatures to work out that perfect cook. You can’t you see your food cook inside either. It’s recommended you rotate your food inside each, but they’re both so powerful so sometimes this isn’t necessary. The OP450UK takes the gold as you can cook multiple foods like rice, veg and meat on its different tiers.

Overall winner: Ninja Foodi OP450UK

Both are excellent machines but the Ninja OP450UK comes out on top. It’s more expensive than the AG301UK and won’t grill as well, but the trade off is worth it. You can cook complete meals, including pressure cooked dishes in it for the entire family…and have leftovers.
