What does Robinhood’s ISA offer UK investors?

Although it’s still a relatively new addition to the UK platform, Robinhood’s stocks and shares ISA already packs in plenty of unique features designed to appeal to both beginners and experienced investors.

Here’s a snapshot of what you can expect with Robinhood’s stocks and shares ISA:

  • 2% bonus on eligible contributions*. Robinhood is offering a 2% cash bonus on eligible ISA deposits made before 5 April 2026 (£400 maximum bonus). Investors who qualify need to keep their contribution invested for at least one year.
  • No platform fee. It costs nothing to open an account with Robinhood and you’ll pay no platform fee for using a stocks and shares ISA either, meaning your investments won’t get eroded by account charges.
  • Commission-free investing. Sticking with its core philosophy, Robinhood’s stocks and shares ISA includes zero trading commissions when you buy or sell US stocks.
  • Low FX fees. Because the platform focuses on US-listed stocks, trades involving currency conversion incur a relatively small 0.10% foreign exchange (FX) fee. On Fridays 17:00-21:00 ET it’s 0.3%.
  • Easy transfers. Already have an ISA? You can move to Robinhood by transferring your cash to the stocks and shares ISA in just a few easy steps with no paperwork delays or transfer fees.

*Offer T&Cs apply. Transfers from your Robinhood individual investing account, as well as ISA transfers from other providers, will not earn the 2% cash bonus.

Robinhood’s platform and features

Alongside the new stocks and shares ISA, Robinhood offers UK investors heaps of impactful tools and investing functionality to suit all types of investors:

  • Access thousands of US-listed stocks. Investors can trade over 4,000 US-listed stocks within Robinhood’s stocks and shares ISA.
  • Fractional shares. Rather than buying a full share, you can invest in fractional shares from $1. This allows you to invest smaller amounts (even into high-priced stocks), helping you diversify more easily.
  • Advanced desktop platform. Robinhood recently rolled out its Legend desktop investing platform. If you’re looking to trade and invest, utilising plenty of powerful tools, you’ll find plenty to like here.
  • Investing insights. The platform also includes tools like Cortex Digests**, an AI-powered feature that provides real-time context around stock movements and market events – telling you the why and not just the what.

Straightforward investing with Robinhood

For UK investors, the stocks and shares ISA account remains one of the most powerful tools for long-term wealth building, particularly when coupled with Robinhood’s low fees.

With your stocks and shares ISA, you can contribute up to the UK ISA allowance of £20,000 per tax year (across all ISAs) and investments held within the ISA have no UK tax on capital gains or dividends income (subject to ISA and tax rules).

Also, unlike a pension, when you start withdrawing funds from your ISA, withdrawals don’t count towards your income tax for that year.

That tax efficiency means more of your potential investment returns stay in your pocket, which is why UK investors typically use ISAs as the backbone of their portfolios.

Robinhood’s new stocks and shares ISA offering aims to combine these underlying tax advantages with its modern, low-cost investing experience.

What’s next for Robinhood in the UK?

The stocks and shares ISA launch is another confident step in Robinhood’s broader push into the UK investing market.

With no platform fees, commission-free investing in US stocks, low FX fees, advanced trading features, and technology-driven tools, Robinhood clearly means business as it continues to shake up the retail investing space in the UK, putting established UK brokers on notice.

And this may just be the beginning.

Robinhood has already hinted at more AI-powered features for Cortex and further product enhancements arriving throughout the year, with the platform’s UK ecosystem set for continuing growth.

“For now, though, the arrival of a Robinhood stocks and shares ISA is a clear signal: Robinhood is here to stay and its UK footprint continues to mature and grow.”
