Ninja Foodi AF300UK vs Tefal ActiFry Genius XL

A couple of great dual compartment air fryers for cooking 2 meals at once. But which one should you buy?

It’s a duel between the dual-compartment air fryers. Ninja’s Dual Zone AF300UK is one of the few air fryers on the market to have 2 cooking drawers side by side, while the Tefal 2-in-1 YV970840 has a couple of circle shaped zones on top of each other. Both machines are fab options for cooking an entire meal or larger portions. There are more differences between the 2, though. We’ve put them side by side so you can decide which is right for you.

Stated functions★★★★★★★★★★

Ninja comes out on top with its typical array of functions, from the ultra powerful Max Crisp reahching 240C to baking, roasting and dehydrating at a very low temperature. Tefal falls behind significantly. While it boasts many presets and a keep warm mode, it’s best used as a standard air fryer as it’ll cook your chips extremely well.

Capacity and size★★★★★★★★★★

Both air fryers are pretty bulky so may not be ideal for smaller kitchens, though the Ninja is shaped better for the standard counter. Their capacities are both good for families of 4. Ninja can fit more food in its baskets, like entire small chickens, whereas the Tefal won’t. But they both will cook about 8 salmon fillets in both compartments. Neither are good for saucier dishes.

Round 3: Convenience

Rotating basket
Convenience★★★★★★★★★★

Tefal’s air fryer is the best in terms of convenience that we’ve reviewed. It will rotate your food and you can see it cooking with its window. It’s got simple presets too. Ninja isn’t as convenient as you may have to shake your food whilst it cooks. Both are very easy to clean in the dishwasher.

Overall winner: Ninja Foodi Dual Zone AF300

It’s tough to separate these 2. The Tefal is slightly more expensive, but is very convenient. However, the Ninja will fit more food in and boasts more functions. It’s also less awkward to fit on a kitchen counter. For that reason, the Ninja AF300 comes out on top.
