Huobi is best for Asian investors

HXT (Huobi) is ideal for Asian investors who want access to spot and derivative trading products. Trading is available outside Asia, including parts of Europe, but availability is most widespread throughout Asian countries.

In fact, HXT (Huobi) quickly became a leading platform in places like China, Japan, Singapore and South Korea before regulatory issues changed its licensing. Today, areas like Hong Kong and Mainland China are not covered, but several other countries are.

HXT (Huobi) plans

HXT (Huobi) offers investors the ability to earn HTX Experience (EXP) points based on their trading volume and overall holdings. These points translate to VIP account tiers that include Advanced, Insider, Premier, Ambassador and Partner tiers. Based on your HTX (Huobi) tokens, benefits include gifts, access to a personal account manager and increased trading limits.

What we like about Huobi

There are several benefits to investing with Huobi, such as a wide array of trading products, strong security protocols and expansive educational and analytical resources.

Excellent selection of products

HXT (Huobi) boasts over 12,000 assets and trading products for your investment, including over 700 cryptocurrencies and over 100 fiat currencies. Investors can participate in spot trading, futures trading for up to 200x and margin trading for 5x.

Expansive resources

HXT (Huobi) offers real-time data with price alerts and market depth, plus additional features like trading bots, detailed charting and technical indicators. There is also a unique copy trading feature that allows you to follow and mimic top investors to help improve your strategy.

Strong security protocols

HXT (Huobi) uses multi-signature cold wallets to store client assets with a 20,000 BTC Security Reserve Fund set aside for extreme emergencies. There is also two-factor authentication, cold storage and SSL protection to round out its security measures.

Where Huobi falls short

HXT (Huobi) does have some disadvantages, such as its country restrictions, trading and withdrawal limits and lack of phone support.

Several restricted countries

Although it maintains offices in the United States, HTX is unavailable in the US and several other countries, including Hong Kong and Mainland China, Canada, Singapore, Germany, Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

It also cannot support transactions with bank cards issued in certain countries like Afghanistan, Cuba, Eritrea, Morocco, North Korea, Russia, Venezuela or Hong Kong or Mainland China.

Trading and withdrawal limits apply

Traders are subject to daily trading and withdrawal limits. These are not flat amounts but rather based on your verification levels. For example, basic registration allows you to withdraw 0.06 BTC per 24 hours, whereas advanced verification allows 100 BTC per 24 hours.

Users can increase their level by completing various identity verification procedures, such as submitting a photo ID or registering a bank account in their name.

No phone support

Huobi offers customer service in a number of ways, but if you are looking to speak with someone over the phone, it is not an option. Instead, Huobi offers email and live chat. There are also additional resources for support, such as a help center and support tickets.

Is HXT (Huobi) legit?

HXT (Huobi) was founded in 2013 to offer spot trading services. Less than a year later, it had already become the world’s largest digital asset trading platform. Today, it has over 47 million users globally, with over $33 trillion in cumulative trading volume.

However, it has faced its share of issues. In 2017, it closed its accounts in Mainland China due to a new ban, which also impacted crypto platform Binance. Two years later, problems continued when regulatory issues prompted Huobi to close its US and Singapore divisions.

Still, it has worked hard to make up for past missteps with stringent security measures for current users. With everything from two-factor authentication and SSL encryption to cold storage and multi-signature wallets, HTX employs strong security protocols to protect user data.

What do people on Reddit say?

On Reddit, users mention worries about regulatory issues, which have caused some customers to withdraw funds despite steep withdrawal penalties. Redditors also seem to lack faith in the company’s leadership, and they aren’t happy with customer support, either.

There are also questions surrounding its availability. Some users like the platform or want to give it a try, but are bound by geographic restrictions.
