With a supported LG TV, you can watch content from Disney Plus’s extensive library of movies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.

Step 1. Sign up to Disney Plus

In order to watch Disney Plus you need to register.

Step 2. Check that your TV is compatible

Disney Plus is available on LG TVs made from 2016 onwards that run webOS 3.0 or later. Check model number and compatibility.

Step 3. Download the Disney Plus app

If your TV supports Disney Plus, the app will be available through the LG Content Store. Here’s how to download it.

  1. From the TV’s Home screen, navigate to the LG Content Store.
  2. Select the search icon at the top of the screen and search for the Disney Plus app.
  3. Using your TV’s remote, click the “Install” button.
  4. Once the app is installed, you can launch it by pressing the Disney Plus icon on the LG Home Launcher with your remote.

Now you’re ready to create your account. If you’ve already created a Disney Plus account, you can log in and head straight to step 4.

Step 4. Create a Disney Plus account

If you haven’t already set up an account, you can do so from the app on your TV or from your computer, smartphone or tablet.

Step 5. Log in

Once your account is set up, you can log in to start browsing the massive Disney Plus library. That includes popular films, documentaries and new-and-exclusive series.

More than 35 Disney Plus originals are planned for Disney Plus’s first year, with choices such as The Mandalorian, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, The World According to Jeff Goldblum and the live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp.

How to install Disney Plus on an LG TV in the UK: A summary

  1. Check your LG TV is compatible
  2. Turn on your TV
  3. Check its connected to the internet
  4. From the TV’s Home screen, navigate to the LG Content Store
  5. Search for the Disney Plus app (it may not be available yet)
  6. Click the “install” button
  7. After the install, launch from the LG home launcher
  8. Create a Disney account
  9. Login to start browsing the Disney library

Using the TV menu

  1. Turn on your TV
  2. Press the settings button on your LG remote
  3. Scroll down and select “All Settings”
  4. Scroll down to general and navigate right
  5. Scroll down and select About This TV
  6. Under TV information it will list the model number

  3. Locate the panel of infomration
  4. The model number displays the LG model you have

What to do if your LG TV is not compatible

Even if your TV is not compatible you can still get Disney Plus on your TV using other methods. You can stream the service using Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Roku and Apple TV.
