Travel COVID tests near me

If you’re leaving the UK, you may need to arrange a COVID test and provide proof of a negative result. While home test kits are available and are straightforward, those in a rush may prefer to head to a clinic. You can use the filters in the above table to find test providers with clinics (or “test hubs” as some are calling them) near you.
How quickly can I get my certificate?
By opting to visit a clinic or a click and collect service, you’re already cutting out delivery delays. You can typically opt for a same-day appointment, but bear in mind that some providers charge extra for this.
The actual process of taking the test requires little more than a few minutes, and what happens next will depend on the type of test you’re taking.
For PCR tests, your sample will next be taken to a lab for analysis. Almost all providers promise to return this around within 24 hours of receiving your sample at their lab, but a few promise results by midnight the same day if your appointment was early enough in the day. You’ll receive an email with your certificate of a negative result and the all-important number for your passenger locator form.
For lateral flow (also known as antigen) tests, the result is almost immediate (just like the NHS tests), but you’ll need to get it validated in order for the certificate to be issued. This might involve uploading a photo through the test provider’s app, or getting a member of staff at the clinic to verify it for you. Whatever the process, the good news is there is no lab analysis involved, and you’ll typically receive your certificate within an hour.
