Our verdict

This connection service appears to do little more than sell your data to other third parties, which may or may not be legit.

FinnFox claims to be a loan referral service that offers loans from $100 to $5,000 through its lending partners. It accepts borrowers with bad credit, and it says rates range from 5.99% to 35.99%, although that can’t be confirmed. It has very few reputable reviews and is absent from well-known review sites such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Trustpilot, which makes it difficult to trust. It’s also not transparent about eligibility requirements or other loan details.

Best for: We can’t recommend this loan service because none of its claims can be verified, the company did not respond to our questions and it doesn’t appear to have reviews from anyone who got a loan.

The pros and cons are based on what we could determine based on its website and its terms and conditions.

Pros

  • Loans up to $5,000
  • Fast funding possible
  • Rates as low as 5.99%

Cons

  • Not a direct lender
  • Essentially collects your information to sell
  • Not transparent about the loan process

Is FinnFox legit?

Probably not. FinnFox doesn’t appear to do much more than sell your information to third parties who may or may not provide you with a loan. Legitimate loan connection services are usually more transparent and offer a range of rates and a list of requirements you’ll need to qualify.

FinnFox also has some conflicting information on its website and awkward wording that raises red flags about its legitimacy.

For those reasons, combined with a lack of customer reviews, we can’t recommend using this website to find a loan. Instead, you may want to consider other top picks for installment loans and connection services. You may even be better off looking into payday loans or other alternatives, such as cash advance apps, for smaller loan amounts.

Where FinnFox falls short

The most glaring issue with FinnFox is its lack of transparency. It has big, bold promises on its main website pages, but a little digging shows that it’s not being open about the true lending process. That, plus no legit reviews, should be enough to consider other loan options.

What makes FinnFox shine?

Really, the only positive thing about FinnFox is that it may end up steering you to a legitimate lender. However, by submitting a loan request — as stated in its terms and conditions — you are agreeing to have your credit checked by multiple lenders. Some only run a soft credit check, but others may conduct a hard inquiry, which can temporarily lower your credit even if you don’t get a loan.

To minimize the damage to your credit, applying to a direct lender only results in one credit inquiry. If your score is 600 or less, look into loans for people with bad credit that come from direct lenders.

  • At least 18 and a US resident
  • A valid Social Security number

FinnFox reviews and complaints

BBB accredited No
BBB rating N/A
Customer reviews verified as of 02 June 2025

FinnFox doesn’t have a page on the BBB or Trustpilot, which is odd for a company in this space. There were only a few third-party reviews on the internet, and none from known sources, with a couple saying it’s a legit way to get a loan and others suggesting there were too many red flags to recommend it.

What do people on Reddit say?

The consensus from the few people who posted about FinnFox is that the company merely sells your information, and you’ll be spammed by multiple lenders or other connection services.
