Crypto.com and eToro both offer cryptocurrency buying, selling and trading services to their users.

However, eToro offers much more than that as it began as a social and copy-trading platform. This added a plethora of services pertaining to stock, equities and commodities. It may be more of a complication than a crypto beginner has bargained for.

The dedicated cryptocurrency exchange that Crypto.com offers may be the better bet for people just starting out. Find out which exchange wins in a competition between eToro and Crypto.com.

Round 1: Crypto.com vs. eToro on vital statistics

Crypto.com and eToro are vitally different from each other. The main difference worth highlighting about eToro is its integration of social and copy trading. This social layer differentiates eToro from many other platforms and is an appealing feature for crypto beginners who wish to follow professional traders.

On the other hand, Crypto.com offers earning and a Visa debit card that’s highly rated in the cryptocurrency industry.

Round 2: Supported coins

Crypto.com offers vastly more coins than eToro. It’s a dedicated cryptocurrency exchange, after all. eToro deserves some credit though, as its offers trading for many top-rated cryptocurrencies.

Round 3: Supported fiat currencies

Crypto.com has launched its services in many countries and offers the ability to use a wide range of fiat currencies. eToro only offers its users the ability to withdraw and deposit USD, so options are limited.

The fiat on-ramp is a tricky aspect for crypto beginners, so having more than one option is an edge. In the event that deposit methods for one fiat currency doesn’t work, the user may choose another.

Round 4: Fees and costs

eToro has a very simple fee structure of 1% on all crypto trades. Although this is easy for beginners to understand, it’s a little steep compared to some fees on Crypto.com.

The fees on Crypto.com are a little more complicated. It’s a tiered structure based on how much CRO the user owns and has staked. While eToro’s fees are simple and expensive, Crypto.com’s are conditionally cheaper and more complicated.

Round 5: Wallets

Crypto.com builds a high-quality noncustodial wallet that seamlessly integrates with the rest of Crypto.com’s platforms. This includes its exchange, mobile app and NFT marketplace.

Contrast this to eToro’s Crypto Money Wallet, which is solely used for swapping and storing crypto, and it’s clear who wins in this round.

Winner: Crypto.com

Round 6: Ease of use

eToro is appealing to crypto beginners because it offer fewer coins with reduced functionality. This minimalist approach means it can focus on making limited functionality easy for beginners.

However, while Crypto.com has many more features that introduce complexity, it still does a good job of making its services easy to understand.

Winner: Crypto.com

Round 7: Security

eToro has a range of certifications and insurances to give its users a level of comfort that their funds are safe. The same goes for Crypto.com.

The difference is that Crypto.com is exclusively a cryptocurrency exchange and has still managed to secure the most insurance out of any other cryptocurrency exchange in the world. On top of this, it has attained more third-party security audits than any other cryptocurrency exchange.

Winner: Crypto.com

Crypto.com vs. eToro winner: Crypto.com

It should be no surprise that Crypto.com, a dedicated and world-class cryptocurrency exchange, wins over eToro, a trading company that also offers crypto trading. Crypto.com refines and provides a higher level of quality to its users because its entire set of services are crypto-related.

eToro deserves an honorable mention as it has also managed to capture an impressive amount of volume and users for the crypto services that it offers.
