Who is AXA?

AXA is a French, multinational company that provides services in a number of countries, including the UK. It’s history dates back to the 19th Century, meaning they have been helping their customers for almost 300 years. They operate in 64 countries, and aim to help their customers protect themselves, their families and their possessions.

What type of policies does AXA offer?

AXA van insurance offers three different van insurance policies. They are detailed below with a selection of their features.

This cover is ideal if you use your van for commercial or business use. This policy comes with:

  • AXA approved repairs nationwide
  • Roadside accident repairs
  • Lifetime guarantee on repairs for as long as you own your van
  • Guaranteed courtesy van when your van’s under repair at an approved garage following an accident
  • Uninsured driver promise – if you need to claim for an accident caused by an uninsured driver, you won’t lose your no claims discount or have to pay an excess
  • Cover for valuables such as built-in Sat Nav, audio players, wrong fuel, lost keys and more
  • Cover for 93 days’ EU travel

This policy is designed for couriers and delivery drivers. You may want to consider getting insurance so you can still work when your van isn’t! This policy comes with:

  • Guaranteed courtesy van following an accident
  • Access to AXA’s nationwide repair network
  • Repairs guaranteed as long as you own your van
  • Cover for drivers’ personal belongings
  • Uninsured driver promise
  • Cover for built-in music, navigation and entertainment equipment.
This form of cover is perfect for drivers who use their van for social use, hobbies and holidays or commuting to work. This policy comes with:

  • Accident recovery
  • Guaranteed courtesy van following an accident
  • Cover for built-in equipment, such as sat navs and radio
  • Cover for 93 days’ EU travel

What cover levels are available?

AXA van insurance has three levels of cover available:

  • Third party only. This cover is the least amount insurance required by UK law. It covers any damage to a third party, but no damage to your own vehicle.
  • Third party, fire and theft. This policy offers cover for third party damage, as well as any damage by fire or theft to your own vehicle. However, you will not be covered for any accidental damage.
  • Comprehensive. This is the highest level of cover offered by AXA. You will be covered for any damage done to a third party, as well as any fire, theft or accidental damage done to your own vehicle.

How much is my excess?

Your excess is the amount of money you will be expected to contribute if you find yourself needing to make a claim. The amount of your excess may depend on the claim you are making, as well as the age and model of your van.

What is the claims process for AXA?

The hotline is in operation Monday to Friday, 9am -5pm.
