How does the Gift Card Rewards process work?

When you click on a promoted provider advertised on our website, we are in effect, acting as an affiliate of the provider’s by sending them visitors and potential customers. In return for this, the providers via their affiliate platform pay Finder commission if someone we refer buys the product or service. It is this commission that we pay to you as a ‘Gift Card Reward’. To ensure everything is clear and transparent we explain the terms of the Gift Card Rewards service in these terms and the offer specific terms presented with any offer.

1. Finder Membership

1.1 One finder member account is allowed per person.

1.2 The legal owner of the email address used to sign up to Finder is deemed to be the account owner. Any Gift Card Reward earned will be credited to the account owner.

1.3 We do reserve the right to terminate any account and cancel pending gift card rewards in accordance with these terms of use.

1.4 By joining Finder, you confirm you are over 18.

2. Earning Gift Card Rewards

2.1 All the purchases you make are directly with the provider, not Finder. When you make a purchase via the providers website, it is tracked using click ID numbers and cookies which allow the provider to identify that a purchase has been made, who made it and where it came from. Once the provider’s affiliate platform has identified the purchase and reported it to Finder, you will receive an email from Finder to let you know. When the provider confirms the purchase we will send another email to let you know. Once the provider has paid the commission, we will then email an eVoucher via GiftPay so you can claim your reward.

2.2 Gift Card Rewards claims will only be valid on purchases that meet the criteria below:

a) no stated exceptions apply. The purchase must be a qualifying one as defined by the provider in their affiliate promotion.

b) clicking through to the provider via the ‘Go to Site’ & ‘Continue’ button on the Finder where the reward offer is presented. Clicking through to a provider via any other link will not activate the tracking and Finder will not receive a commission.

c) completing your purchase directly from the point of clicking through to the provider. Using another website to visit the provider or utilising a browser plug-in or failing to complete your purchase in full at the time of clicking through may result in the purchase failing to track to your account.

d) a legitimate purchase is being made. Repeat purchases may not be confirmed for Gift Card Rewards and you must purchase for genuine reasons. By making a purchase via Finder you acknowledge that it is at the provider’s entire discretion to determine whether a purchase is genuine and you acknowledge that we will not be liable for any Gift Card Rewards where a provider has deemed a purchase disingenuous.

e) communication from the provider or their affiliate platform that a purchase has been tracked directly back to your Finder account by an identifying tag. If you are not logged in to your Finder account when you make your purchase, there will be no identifying tag matching you with the purchase taking place.

f) communication from the provider or their affiliate platform that your purchase is a confirmed purchase. As explained above, whether or not a purchase is a confirmed purchase is entirely at the discretion of the provider and you acknowledge that we will not be liable for any Gift Card Reward to you if the provider does not accept your purchase as a confirmed purchase.

g) a valid account is in place. If your account is terminated or disabled for any reason, then any Gift Card Reward payable will be deemed to be forfeited.

h) no other offer used in conjunction. Discount codes used in conjunction with a Gift Card Reward offer may result in your Gift Card Reward not being awarded.

i) Gift Card Reward may be declined if all or part of your order is returned, amended or cancelled.

2.3 In order for Finder and the affiliate platforms to track and confirm your purchase as explained above, the affiliate platforms will share the order ID relating to your purchase with Finder

2.4 If you inform Finder that a purchase has not been acknowledged by Finder email, we will use reasonable endeavours to investigate but reserve the right to cease investigations at any point at our entire discretion.

2.5 The provider or it’s affiliate platform’s decision is final in relation to the payment of commission to Finder and in turn, our decision is final in relation to paying Gift Card Reward to you. We will make reasonable endeavours to secure the payment of commission on a purchase but we do not and cannot make any guarantee in this regard. If we do not receive the commission for a purchase for whatever reason, we will not be liable to pay the relevant Gift Card Reward to you.

2.6 Payable dates communicated on purchases are purely for guidance only and are not a guaranteed date for the receipt of the gift card and may be exceeded before payment is made.

2.7 We do not hold money in your account similar to a bank and legal title to any Gift Card Reward earnings does not pass to you until you have taken possession of the Gift Card Reward by way of a successful receipt of a Gift Card Reward.

2.8 In all circumstances the payment of Gift Card Reward to you is at our discretion and we may refuse to pay Gift Card Reward to you for any reason.

3. Terminating your account

3.1 You can terminate your membership simply by clicking the appropriate button within your account settings and following instructions.

3.2 In the event of fraudulent, abusive or other activity we determine to be unfair, we reserve the right to terminate your account.

3.3 Please note that accounts may be disabled if they are deemed at our discretion to be dormant. In order to keep your account active, you are required to log into your account least once every 12 months.

4. Fraud

4.1 We operate systems on Finder to deter and limit any fraudulent use or abuse of Finder and reserve the right to apply any fraud prevention measures as we see fit.

4.2 We reserve the right to investigate any purchases that you make as part of claiming a Gift Card Reward from Finder, this may include the passing of your personal data to third parties who we work with including the provider in question. Such data transfers are explained in more detail in our Privacy Policy. If, at our sole discretion, we deem that abuse or suspect any fraudulent use of any offer on Finder has occurred we reserve the right to terminate your account and you shall forfeit any earnings contained within it.

5. Liability

5.1 We will exercise reasonable care and skill in performing our obligations to you but we do not guarantee that Finder will meet your requirements.

5.2 We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

5.3 Subject to clause above, we do not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage you may incur:
for any loss of revenue, business, anticipated savings or profits;
any indirect, special or consequential loss, damage or other claims, howsoever caused or arising;
resulting from any purchase via Finder with any provider;
in connection with the accuracy or content of any reviews of products or services displayed on our website or on any other website that you may access via our website;
arising from an inability to access our website, from any use of Finder or from reliance on the data transmitted using Finder where such losses or damages are caused by any event beyond our reasonable control including as a result of the nature of electronic transmission of data over the internet;
in connection with any voucher codes that you obtain via our website.

5.4 Where we are found to be liable to you, our total liability (regardless of how many claims are brought) shall be the total value of any Gift Card Reward you received during the previous 12 month period from when a claim is brought.

5.5 Except as expressly stated elsewhere in these terms, all representations, warranties, conditions and other terms whether express or implied are hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Our Terms

6.1 We may amend these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our members’ needs and our business priorities.

6.2 These Gift Card Rewards terms and conditions are intended to apply in addition to our standard site terms of use.

Tracking

You must use the Finder “go to site” link/button.

Purchases must be completed immediately and fully online after redirecting from Finder.
Cookie tracking must be enabled and you must allow the confirmation page to fully load.

Eligibility & Exclusions

Available to annual customers only. (monthly and other options are not eligible).
Not eligible if you’ve had RAC breakdown cover at any time in the past 4 months
Not eligible to members amending or renewing an existing policy
Not eligible on purchases during a breakdown situation.
Excludes European Breakdown Cover.
Excludes RAC Response, the Blue Badge membership.
Excludes RAC Business Breakdown Cover.
Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other.

Payment

Reward will be approved up to 150 days after purchase
You’ll get a £20 giftcard for roadside assistance
You’ll get a £35 giftcard for home-start

Additional Terms

Offer and may be withdrawn at any time.

If your purchase is not registered or your reward is declined you have 14 days to raise a claim through Finder support. We will make all reasonable endeavours to secure the payment of commission on a transaction but we do not and cannot make any guarantee in this regard.
