Hyatt hotels are divided into several numerical categories that reflect the features of the hotel. The points you’ll need for a complimentary night depend on this category as well as the type of room you reserve. The award chart below also applies to participating MGM hotels and resorts and Small Luxury Hotels.

In addition to Hyatt hotels, you can also redeem for free nights at Hyatt and Miraval resorts. You can split the cost between points and cash for Miraval resorts, though not for Hyatt resorts. Also, when you redeem points for stays at Miraval resorts, you get a $175 resort credit per person, gourmet cuisine, freshly prepared snacks and beverages, and complimentary wellness activities, lectures, fitness classes and more.

Transfer your World of Hyatt points to airline miles at a ratio of 2.5 points for 1 mile. You must convert a minimum of 5,000 points to get started and can convert additional points in 1,250 increments.
For every 50,000 points you convert to a partnered airline mile, Hyatt will provide an extra 5,000 bonus miles on your partnered account.
The only scenario where converting World of Hyatt points to airline miles makes sense is if you never intend to redeem your points for World of Hyatt stays.
Otherwise, avoid transferring points to miles. That’s because you’ll be converting a value of 4.25 cents per World of Hyatt point to get an average value of 1.3 cents per airline mile. Definitely not worth the trade.
Generally speaking, the category of the hotel dictates the luxuries, location and overall value of the hotel. We found Hyatt points always pull a strong value, averaging around 1.7 cents per point, no matter which hotel you choose.

The average value of points spent this way averages at 1.7 cents per point. This makes it a strong option if you want to boost your comfort level during your stay.
If you’re looking for more than just a hotel stay, Hyatt’s all-inclusive resorts offer a more luxurious stay at one of their resort properties.
Your points will be worth less on average compared to a free night stay at a Hyatt hotel. They still hold solid value, however, and outstrip the potential value of your other available redemption options, such as spa or restaurant experiences.
