Bittrex features over 250 cryptocurrencies on its platform with the ability to instantly buy them with a connected bank account or debit card. While beginners may experience a slight learning curve, experienced traders will likely appreciate the advanced tools offered by the platform.
Bittrex has put a good deal of effort into the security of customer assets. With its cold storage system, digital asset insurance policy, and options for two-factor authentication (2FA), the exchange goes a long way towards helping customers feel at ease when holding crypto on the exchange.
The largest downfall of the exchange is likely its mediocre customer service. Though basic answers to most questions can be found through an organized support module, contacting a human for specific problems requires some extra patience.

- Complies with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network regulations in the US. FinCEN is the peak body for regulating cryptocurrency exchanges in the US which requires Bittrex to comply with laws and regulations that are intended to provide certain protections for users.
- Over 326 cryptocurrencies supported. Bittrex supports 326+ assets, which should give you a good range of industries and asset types to invest in without needing to hop between multiple exchanges.
- Trade with multiple fiat currencies. Bittrex allows you to trade with USD.
- Deposit and withdraw USD directly to your bank account in the US. With Bittrex you can deposit cash from your American bank account and cash out back into the same account.
Cons
- Not available to all US residents. Bittrex is only available in 47 states. You can not use Bittrex if you are a resident of Connecticut, Hawaii, New York and Vermont.
- No live chat or phone-based customer support. Bittrex does not have a live customer support service. Instead you will need to consult the FAQ or contact Bittrex via email, which may take several days to receive a reply.
- No mobile app available. Bittrex does not have a dedicated mobile app. You can still use the platform on your phone, but the experience may not be as smooth as other platforms that have smartphone apps.

Bittrex announcement
Just over a month after announcing that it would be winding down its operations in the United States, Bittrex has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company said in a statement dated May 8, 2023, that the decision to file for bankruptcy “does not impact Bittrex Global, which will continue operations as normal for its customers outside the U.S.”
Customers’ funds that remained on the platform prior to the Chapter 11 filing “remain safe and secure,” according to Bittrex. The company said its main priority is to ensure its customers “are made whole.” The company notes that while the bankruptcy court will ultimately decide the method by which customers’ funds can be claimed and distributed, it intends to ask the court to activate customer accounts “as soon as possible” so that customers can withdraw their funds.
The bankruptcy filing comes less than a month after the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged Bittrex and its former CEO William Shihara for operating an unregistered national securities exchange, broker, and clearing agency.

How to sign up on Bittrex exchange
Before you can even get started trading on Bittrex, you have to go through the rigorous verification process (which usually involves providing proof of identification). This can take time. The reason for this is Bittrex's commitment to certifications and compliance with regulations and insurers.

Before you can start trading, you have to add your bank account to your Bittrex account. There are several options to choose from, so choose the option most compatible. - Provide identification
Before you can make withdrawals and increase your transaction limits, you must submit proof of address and some additional identification. Use either a passport or a driver's license for this. - Start trading
After all that is processed, you're ready to trade on Bittrex.
Is Bittrex safe?
Past hacks. In 2019, Bittrex was targeted in a SIM attack. By accessing data via a user’s phone, a hacker was able to access the individual’s funds held on Bittrex.
The affected party claimed in a lawsuit that Bittrex did not take appropriate action after being notified of the hack. The platform itself has never been hacked.
Security audits. Bittrex employs several layers of security on its exchange, including 2FA, as well as IP and crypto address whitelisting. The exchange also shares extensive tips with customers on keeping their account safe. However, it has not undergone any security audits.
In 2019, Bittrex failed to receive a Bitlicense for operations in New York State. Among the reasons given for the failure was a lack of details concerning an independent compliance audit commenced by the exchange. A refusal to disclose specific terms of the audit were noted by New York regulators at the time.
Insurance. Bittrex has obtained digital asset insurance for cryptocurrency held in its cold storage custody system. The policy covers up to $300 million of assets in the case of external theft or internal collusion. Bittrex was approved for coverage by Arch syndicate 2021 after completing a review of the platform’s internal security and compliance protocols.

Bittrex customer support
Bittrex has done a pretty good job of answering most of the questions customers commonly ask through the platform’s Zendesk, where topics and frequently asked questions are clearly organized. However, contacting support for specific issues is unnecessarily complicated.
While a support ticket can be created through a provided online form, in order to chat with the platform’s interactive bot, users will need to create a separate support account. This includes re-entering your email address and creating a new password — despite already being logged in to the trading account. Further, wait times for responses to created support tickets are not immediately given, but they likely depend on the number of requests received.

Let me answer your questions one by one.
1. How to buy reddcoin thru bittrex?
To buy Reddcoin through Bittrex, you need to open an account. From there, log into to your account. You must add Bitcoin first to your Bittrex account to be able to buy Reddcoin or other digital coins.
Unfortunately, Bittrex does not offer the direct purchase of cryptocurrency using credit, debit or Automated Clearing House (ACH) bank accounts.
To deposit cryptocurrency in Bittrex, click “Wallets” in the upper right corner of the site, search for the wallet you are going to deposit into and select “New Address”. This will generate your address. You will then be able to send cryptocurrency to that address.
2. How to register?
To register, you can simply go to Bittrex official website and create your new account.
3. What bank is linked to Bittrex?
Like what I mentioned above, Bittrex does not have this feature yet.
