You can apply for Capital One credit cards on the provider’s website. Before applying, verify on the card page that there’s travel accident insurance. You may also want to check the card’s guide to benefits, if available, to verify coverage amounts.
The most important thing to remember is to pay for your travel with your Capital One card. For example, if you’re taking a flight, put the entire fare on your card. You won’t be covered if you use a different payment method, even if you’re a Capital One member.
In the event of a loss, you or your beneficiary should contact the claim administrator for a claim form. Contact information is available in your card’s guide to benefits.
You or your beneficiary will then complete the claim form. If the claim administrator deems the loss eligible, it will distribute the benefit to you or your beneficiary.
A beneficiary is the person or entity of your choice who will receive an insurance benefit in the event of your death.
A benefit is a payment made under an insurance policy.
