Capital One’s best bonus offer

Cap One’s 360 Checking $300 and $250 bonus are pretty solid, and its requirements to earn the bonus are notably easier than other top account bonus offers. The CHECKING250 and OFFER300 promo codes were easy to find, and the direct deposit requirements are simple enough. Additionally, the account itself has no monthly fees, opening deposit requirements or foreign transaction fees.

Its credit card bonuses are pretty great, too, only requiring you to spend a certain amount on purchases within a few months. And it’s worth calling out that Cap One also offers bonuses for its student credit cards, which isn’t as common among other institutions.

Cap One annual travel credit bonuses

If you’re the account holder of a Capital One Venture X credit card, you also get bonus travel credits on the anniversary of account opening.

Annually, Venture X primary account holders will get a $300 travel credit that can be used through Captial One Travel, and the credit expires on your next anniversary. You can use the credit for one purchase or spread it across multiple (those rewards won’t be earned with purchases using the travel credits).

To be eligible for these anniversary bonuses, you must have an open Venture X credit card account and the account must be in good standing.

What does Cap One consider a qualifying direct deposit?

One of the requirements to earn the 360 Checking $250 bonus offer involves receiving two direct deposits of at least $500 each within 75 days of opening.

Capital One considers a qualifying direct deposit as a regular payment, such as salary, pension, government payments or other monthly income that’s paid through ACH or Real-Time Payment network credit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the $1,000 bonus offer from Capital One?

Capital One doesn’t have a $1,000 bonus cash offer at the time of writing. However, the Capital One Venture and Venture X card bonus offers up to 75,000 in bonus miles after spending a certain amount, which may equate to $1,000 depending on how you redeem the travel miles.

Capital One is also known to offer up to $1,500 in bonus cash for its Performance Savings account, but that requires depositing $100,000 and holding that balance for 90 days to earn.

Are there banks with immediate signup bonuses?

For the most part, bank account bonuses aren’t paid out immediately. This delay exists because most bonus offers have requirements you must meet first, such as setting up direct deposit, making a certain number of purchases or depositing a lump sum of cash.

Once the requirements are met, the bonuses may be paid out immediately, or you may be paid over a few months. Be sure to read the fine print of any bank account bonus offers to know when the bonus will be delivered and exactly what you need to do to earn it.

How do I get the $300 Capital One bonus?

To get the $300 bonus without the offer email, you will have to enter the code OFFER300. When signing up for the 360 Checking account without the offer email, your field will autofill with “OFFER250.” Simply replace the code, and if you complete the requirements required to earn the $300 within 75 days, the bonus should be delivered.
