The winners of the inaugural Finder Insurance Innovation Awards announced

10, March, 2021, LONDON –

The 11 winners and highly commended companies in the inaugural Finder Insurance Innovation Awards have today been announced.

This is the first time that personal finance comparison site, finder.com, has focused its Innovation Awards series on the insurance space.
Finder’s Innovation Awards series recognises providers that are innovating in their chosen field, by bringing new and impactful features to the market and delivering unique and beneficial services to their customers.

Winning and highly commended companies have been identified in the following six categories: Business Insurance Innovation, Car Insurance Innovation, Health Insurance Innovation, Home Insurance Innovation, Life Insurance Innovation and Pet Insurance Innovation.

The Business Insurance Innovation category was won by Simply Business, while Dinghy were highly commended.

In the Car Insurance Innovation category, By Miles took the victory and Cuvva was highly commended.

Simplyhealth won the Health Insurance Innovation group, followed by Bupa, while HomeProtect took the top spot in the Home Insurance Innovation category.

In the Life Insurance Innovation category, YuLife took the crown and DeadHappy was highly commended.

The Pet Insurance Innovation category was won by Bought By Many, while Scratch & Patch were highly commended.

Methodology:
The shortlist of finalists in each category was selected by Finder’s subject area specialists, who identified the providers they felt were displaying key innovations in their field.
This shortlist was then passed to an expert judging panel (details below), who decided the winning and highly commended companies by assessing the finalists across three different criteria: uniqueness of innovation, impact in the market and value to customers.
