Winners of the Finder Car Insurance Innovation Awards 2023 revealed!

30, March, 2023, LONDON –

The winners and highly commended companies in the annual Finder Car Insurance Innovation Awards 2023 have today been announced.

The awards recognise car insurance providers that are innovating in their field, by bringing new and impactful features to the market and delivering unique and beneficial services to their customers.

The awards were decided by a panel of 3 expert judges:

  • Danny Butler, Insurance Publisher, Finder
  • Ben Carey-Evans, Senior Insurance Analyst at GlobalData
  • Rebecca Goodman, Insurance Journalist

And the winners are…

Winning the top spot for the Finder Car Insurance Innovation Awards 2023 is both Vitality and Zego.

The judges were impressed by Vitality’s innovative new ‘Good Driving’ scheme, with Rebecca Goodman commenting that it is “impressive and could prove to be a real game changer in the car insurance world”. Another popular feature cited by the experts is the cashback incentive, which the judges agreed could make a real difference in the current economic climate.

Zego was also awarded first place for its success in having “identified the insurance gap in the rapidly growing gig economy quicker than anyone else”, according to Ben Carey-Evans. He also noted that Zego had “understood that policies needed to be basic, cheap, and flexible to attract gig economy workers”.

Taking the highly commended spot in the Finder Car Insurance Innovation Awards 2023 is Rooster.

The judges recognised that Rooster was innovative in its approach to pricing by “eliminating factors like age and occupation from the pricing strategy, allowing a fairer approach to car insurance pricing” , said Danny Butler.
