Despite having rewards in its name, this card’s strongest feature is the long low-interest balance transfer period. Instead of a 0% interest for 12 months, the SunTrust Prime Rewards Credit Card offers a 3.25% variable intro APR on balance transfers for a stellar 36 months. But if you think you can pay off your balance in less than 12 months, a 0% intro APR period card may be the better choice.
As for the rewards, the SunTrust Prime Rewards Credit Card earns 1% cash back on all purchases. You can boost this rate by 10%, 25% or 50% if you redeem your cash rewards directly into a SunTrust checking, savings or money market account. Unless you get the 50% bonus and earn 1.5% cash back on all purchases, this card may not be as rewarding as competitor 1.5% cashback cards.
Note: You can apply for this card if you live in any of the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV and DC.

If you’re looking to earn flat cash back on your purchases without paying an annual fee, this card comes with these perks. Its rewards rate may not be as high as similar cards, but you also get one of the longest low-interest balance transfer periods and you won’t pay balance transfer fees if you move your balance within a certain time frame.
But if you’re looking to earn a higher cashback rate, compare other cashback cards until you find the right fit for your needs.
