Expert review

The SunTrust Prime Rewards Credit Card comes with an easy-to-earn $100 signup bonus, a $0 annual fee, $0 foreign transaction fees and $0 fees for balances transfered within your first 60 days of card membership.

Despite having rewards in its name, this card’s strongest feature is the long low-interest balance transfer period. Instead of a 0% interest for 12 months, the SunTrust Prime Rewards Credit Card offers a 4.75% variable intro APR on balance transfers for a stellar 36 months. But if you think you can pay off your balance in less than 12 months, a 0% intro APR period card may be the better choice.

Bottom line

If you’re looking to earn flat cash back on your purchases without paying an annual fee, this card comes with these perks. Its rewards rate may not be as high as similar cards, but you also get one of the longest low-interest balance transfer periods and you won’t pay balance transfer fees if you move your balance within a certain time frame.

But if you’re looking to earn a higher cashback rate, compare other cashback cards until you find the right fit for your needs.
