Which card should you choose?

Capital One® Platinum Credit Card

Capital One® Platinum Credit Card

  • No annual fee
  • Higher credit line after five on-time payments
  • Qualify with average credit

The best feature of the Capital One® Platinum Credit Card might be that you may qualify with average credit. If you have a moderate credit score, a secured credit card is often ideal — but to get one, you have to put down a security deposit. Not so with the Capital One® Platinum Credit Card. Plus, this card comes without an annual fee, which many secured cards have.

Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card

Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card

  • No annual fee
  • $150 cash bonus when you spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months
  • 1.5% cash back on all purchases

If you have good credit or better, you might qualify for the more powerful Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card. This card offers a signup bonus, solid cash back on every purchase and an intro APR on purchases and balance transfers — strong benefits that the Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card can’t match.

What’s next?

Pound for pound, the Capital One® Quicksilver® Cash Rewards Credit Card is a better card, but you most likely need good credit or better to qualify. If you have average credit, you may have better chances with the Capital One® Platinum Credit Card.
