Guide to JetBlue TrueBlue rewards program
A simple and rewarding program for JetBlue frequent flyers.
JetBlue’s straightforward rewards program makes it easy to take advantage of its perks. Anything you redeem your TrueBlue points on will be relatively valuable, though there are limited redemption options compared to some other rewards programs.
How much are JetBlue TrueBlue points worth?
Based on the JetBlue TrueBlue site as of February 2019, TrueBlue points are worth about 1.4 cents per point on average. This value fluctuates depending on such factors as what redemption option you choose.
But no matter what, the value will always be worth at least one cent per point, which is unlike many airline rewards programs.
Do JetBlue TrueBlue points expire?
No. So long as you have an account open, your points will stay valid.
Earning JetBlue TrueBlue points
How do you earn JetBlue TrueBlue points?
There are two primary ways to earn TrueBlue points — flying with JetBlue or spending with JetBlue cobranded credit cards.
JetBlue’s cobranded cards offer opportunities to jump-start your point collection. For example, the JetBlue Plus Card offers a 40,000-point introductory bonus when you spend $1,000 in the first 90 days of account opening and upon paying your annual fee. This is on top of the other earning bonuses it grants as well.Back to top
JetBlue allows you to pool TrueBlue points for up to seven friends and family members. Points are handled by a pool leader who can distribute points for redemption among the group.
This is a great way for families to build and plan trips together. However, once you join a pool, all points you earn go toward that pool, meaning you’ll need to leave the pool if you want to build points for yourself.

Loyalty program elite levels
JetBlue’s only loyalty level is called “Mosaic.” Mosaic status offers a few perks when it comes to earning TrueBlue points:
- Earn a 15,000-point bonus when you qualify for Mosaic.
- Earn an additional 3-points-per-dollar spent on JetBlue flights.
Gain Mosaic status by earning 15,000 flight points during a calendar year, or by flying 30 segments and earning 12,000 flight points in a calendar year.
Other Mosaic perks include:
- Waived cancellation fees
- Early boarding
- Discounts on seating space upgrades
- Dedicated customer service
- A waiver on your first two checked bags
- Complimentary alcoholic beverages while flying
JetBlue’s TrueBlue rewards program can provide a simple, hassle-free way to expand your travel opportunities — with no blackout dates to boot. But if you’re looking for more robust redemption options, or you’re located nowhere near a JetBlue hub, you might be unable to take advantage of this program.
