American Express announced that all of its Delta cobranded credit cards are receiving limited-time welcome offers, including its business offerings. This included the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card, the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card and the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card and their business equivalents.
The chance to get these limited-time welcome offers passed on July 7, 2019.
This limited-time offer affected two major portions of the existing welcome offers: The number of Delta SkyMiles you’ll earn and the Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQMs) you’ll earn.

Welcome offers can be earned on eligible cards by meeting the spend requirement in first 3 months of card membership
Almost every Delta credit card included in this limited-time offer has at least doubled its standard welcome offer. The only exception is the Delta Reserve, which offered just under twice its standard welcome offer value.
Needless to say, this is a terrific opportunity to fly twice as far as before. According to our most recent calculations, you could earn a main cabin flight roundtrip from LAX to as far as Hong Kong, worth about 77,500 miles.
Of course, you could also put those extra miles to use across several flights. You could fly first class from LAX to Calgary for 49,000 miles and still have enough left over for a main cabin flight from LAX to New York.
Back to topAside from Delta SkyMiles being a solid loyalty program for one of the largest US airlines, these limited-time welcome offers are unusually generous.
Even if you don’t frequently fly Delta, you might consider signing up for a card to take advantage of these offers.
If you were on the fence about picking up a Delta cobranded card before, these limited-time welcome offers are an enticing opportunity that any traveler would do well to consider — even if Delta isn’t your first choice of airline.
