What is the best type of insurance for your Greyhound?
Greyhound’s don’t have much body fat and as a result your dog is likely to be more exposed to health issues. These include deeper and wider cuts and foot conditions.
With these health factors in mind, a lifetime insurance policy could be the best fit for your Greyhound’s needs. With this policy, all new illnesses are covered and you can comfortably claim for treatments knowing that the financial limit for each condition resets with the renewal of your policy, meaning should your Greyhound need ongoing treatment, you are less likely to have to fund it yourself. Whilst this type of insurance is usually the most expensive, it limits the likelihood of you having to fork out unexpected payments for treatments.
A more affordable option would be a maximum benefit policy. With this policy, you can claim more than once for each condition, but when the financial limit is reached it does not reset with renewal. It is important to be aware of this, as you will have to fund the treatments, and the condition will become pre-existing, meaning it will not be covered by any future insurance.
