Editorial Guidelines

We’re wired to inform, educate, serve, challenge and amuse our users.

Even as we extend our international presence, we remain committed to the values and principles that have underpinned our success as an independent and objective source of information.

How we cover ICOs

Crypto Finder does report on active Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), except where security tokens that offer dividends or as defined by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, are concerned. A security token derives its value from an external, tradable asset and involves government securities regulation. When covering non-security ICOs, it’s Crypto Finder’s editorial policy to clearly state which countries are restricted from participating in the token sale.

Please note: There are countless ICOs happening all the time, and many new coins won’t get very far. Some are even outright scams or ICO pyramid schemes, where people simply hype up and start selling worthless tokens.

Crypto Finder exercises extreme care in our coverage of ICOs, to avoid inadvertently maligning a scheme or overly promoting a dubious scheme.

Learn more about ICOs and tips for spotting potential scams.

Please read our full editorial guidelines, which are also summarised below.
