Alaska Airlines has a reputation for great customer service and friendliness, and this extends to their airline lounge program. While there are just a handful of Alaska lounges in the US, the lounges offer a range of useful amenities. Plus, there’s a variety of partner lounges available throughout the world.
There are two primary methods of getting into Alaska lounges: becoming an Alaska Lounge member or purchasing a day pass.
You can purchase one-year Alaska Lounge memberships online, in person or over the phone. The cost of a one-year membership is dependent on your Alaska MVP status with renewals costing less than the initial price of membership.
If you’re just passing through, or aren’t a Mileage Plan member, you can purchase a day pass for the Alaska Lounge for $50 per person. These can only be purchased in person at the Alaska Lounge.
Alaska Lounge members can purchase day passes at a reduced rate of $25 for additional guests and family members not traveling with the member.
If you’re an Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® Card cardholder, you can purchase a day pass for 50% off for a total of $25. And as of May 2019, day passes are complimentary for active duty US military personnel traveling on orders.
To gain entry to the Alaska Lounge, you’ll need:
While the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® Card won’t give you complimentary lounge access, you will receive a 50% discount when purchasing one-day passes with the card. Here are some other credit card options that can net you complimentary lounge access.
