Make money as you spend money. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not! By signing up to TopCashback you can earn cashback on thousands of different items. There really is no catch and the service is free. TopCashback makes its money through advertising and from retailers when it sends loads of shoppers their way.
TopCashback works with over 5,000 brands, including the big hitters like Amazon, Currys, ASOS, Argos, eBay and Asda. You can also claim cashback when you book travel through websites such as booking.com and hotels.com, as well as on services like insurance and utilities.
It depends on how much you spend with the brands that are signed up with TopCashback, but on average shoppers earn an awesome £345 each year. Not bad, eh?
TopCashback offers 2 types of accounts: a Classic free account and a Plus account (which is £5 per year). The Classic account offers 10% of the commission TopCashback receives and bonuses of up to 5% when you request a payout. The Plus account gives you greater benefits, including 105% of the commission TopCashback receives as cashback and bonuses of up to 10% on top of your payouts.
Note: you don’t pay upfront for a Plus account. TopCashback just retains the first £5 of your earnings each year. If you don’t earn that much, your account is free.
You won’t get your cashback straight away. Your earnings should appear on the Earnings page of your account within 7 days but TopCashback needs to wait until the retailer’s returns period has ended before it receives the commission for your purchase. As soon as that’s available it’ll mark the cash “payable” on your account and you can withdraw and spend it.
Yes, TopCashback has a solid reputation in the cashback sector, plus it’s one of only a few that pass on 100% of what it gets from the retailer to its customers. Disputes occassionally arise between retailers and cashback sites and when they do it means you might not always get your money. This is why it’s important to think of cashback as a bonus not a guarantee. Any money you do make on purchases is a perk, not a given.
Yep, it consistently pays the best cashback rates among its competitors. Customers love it too: it has 4.5 stars out of 5 on TrustPilot based on more than 140,000 reviews and the app has 4.8 stars on App Store based on more than 120,000 reviews (both as of April 2024).
