Expert review

The Rotary International Cash Rewards Visa Signature® credit card has a $0 annual fee and a cashback program where you earn 3% back on a category you choose — gas, online shopping, dining, travel, drug stores, home improvement and furnishings — and 2% back at grocery stores and wholesale clubs. However, you are capped at $2,500 in combined purchases in the 2% and 3% categories each quarter. After that and on all other purchases, you’ll earn 1%.

Also, you get to earn a signup bonus of $200 and you get 15 months of 0% intro APR period on balance transfers and purchases. If all this sounds familiar, it’s because this card is issued by Bank of America and the card’s features are exactly the same as the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards.

How to apply for the Rotary International Cash Rewards Visa Signature® credit card

  1. Visit the Rotary website and click the menu at the top left.
  2. Find the credit card under Member center and then Products and services.
  3. Click Special offers and find the Rotary credit card program.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Fill out the application form.
  6. Review the form and submit.

Bottom line

The Rotary International Cash Rewards Visa Signature® credit card is the same card as the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards and its derivatives, but with one difference — a portion of your purchases go to the Rotary Foundation with no cost additional to you.

However, if you don’t think the Rotary Foundation is where you want to donate, compare other charity cards until you find the right one for you.
