The deadline to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program was extended to August 8, 2020.

With the first round of funding for the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program depleted in just two weeks, many lenders stopped accepting applications to focus on processing those that never received funding the first time around.

Now that Congress approved a second round of funding, you might have thought most SBA Preferred Lenders would have opened applications up again. But unfortunately, that’s not the case.

As of April 29, 2020, many are still trying to process outstanding applications due to demand. And those that are accepting PPP applications are prioritizing existing customers.

Are these SBA Preferred Lenders accepting new PPP applications?
