How to compare Mastercard cashback credit cards

Mastercard cashback credit cards come from almost every bank that offers personal credit cards. To choose the right one, ask yourself:
  • Do you want to make balance transfers?
The Citi® Double Cash Card or the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards can be solid choices. But if you’re looking for the longest intro APR period, consider the Citi® Double Cash Card.
  • Do you mostly spend on dining and entertainment?
In that case, the Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card would be the right choice, as it offers the highest cash back on these categories.
  • Do you want to earn flat cash back on all purchases?
Consider the Citi® Double Cash Card or the PayPal Cashback Mastercard®. Both offer unlimited 2% back on all purchases and have no annual fee.

Bottom line

A wide variety of Mastercard cashback credit cards are available across many banks. You can choose from flat cash back on all purchases or accelerated rewards on certain categories. The majority of Mastercard cashback credit cards come with a signup bonus, no annual fee and offer an intro APR period on balance transfers and purchases.

But if you find that none of these cards are what you’re looking for, compare other cashback credit cards until you find the right fit for your financial needs.
