Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard® lets you earn accelerated miles on Hawaiian Airlines purchases, plus you can accumulate miles based on your flight’s distance. You’ll earn double miles if your company spends money on gas, dining and office supplies. The card also comes with a generous signup bonus and a one-time companion discount for a round-trip flight between Hawaii and North America.

However, you don’t get an intro APR period and you’ll have to pay an annual fee for the card.

How to apply for the Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard®

To apply for the Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard®, you must be either the owner or an authorized officer of your business. You must also be a permanent resident of the US.

  1. Visit the Barclays website and select the Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard® from the list of business cards, then click Apply now.
  2. Complete the application form with information about yourself and your business.
  3. Review your application and submit it.

After approval, you’ll receive your card by mail within 10 business days. If you’re in a hurry, Barclays can expedite your Hawaiian Airlines business card for a $15 fee.

What credit score do I need?

You can apply with a good business credit score of 670 or higher. Businesses in good standing with a higher credit score might get a higher credit limit or lower APR.

Card benefits

  • Signup bonus.
Earn 60,000 miles once you spend $1,000 in your first 90 days of card membership. Earn an additional 10,000 miles when an employee makes a purchase with their Hawaiian Airlines business card.
  • One-time companion discount.
Get a one-time 50% discount for round-trip coach travel between North America and Hawaii for a companion on your reservation. The discount is valid 13 months from the day you open your account.
  • Earn miles.
For every dollar you spend on Hawaiian Airlines, you earn 3 miles. Earn 2x miles on gas, dining and office supply store purchases, and 1x miles on everything else you buy.
  • No foreign transaction fees.
Use this card when traveling abroad without paying international transaction fees. Other cards charge a fee that’s up to 3% of your transaction, which can add up.
  • Bonus miles.
After you spend $60,000 on purchases in a calendar year, you’ll earn 20,000 bonus miles. If you spend $100,000 or more in a year, you’ll get a total of 40,000 bonus miles. Redeem miles on Hawaiian Airlines flights or partner airlines.
  • Which partner airlines can I fly with HawaiianMiles?

With the Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard®, you can redeem your miles with the following partner airlines:

    • JetBlue
    • Korean Air
    • Virgin Atlantic
    • Virgin Australia

    What to watch out for

    • Annual fee.
You’ll pay a $99 fee annually. But frequent flyers can easily offset the annual fee with earned miles.
    • High APR for balance transfers and purchases.
The Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard® comes with a relatively high 15.99% to 24.99% variable APR for balance transfers and purchases.
    • Balance transfer limits.
You can transfer balances to this card, but only up to your credit limit or $20,000, whichever is lower. Also, Barclays won’t accept balance transfers from accounts you have with them or their affiliates.

You can get to Hawaii with other credit cards’ rewards

Getting the Hawaiian Airlines business card is not the only way to travel to Hawaii on credit card rewards. Other credit cards from Chase and American Express could also be worth considering. Some of these cards allow you to transfer your points to Hawaiian Airlines miles, others help you get to Hawaii with partner airlines.
