Expert review

The Hawaii State Visa Signature Cash Rewards Credit Card lets you earn flat cash back on everything you buy. While the cashback rate is lower than similar cards, the card comes with no fees and a low APR.

Card benefits

  • Cash back.
Earn 2% cash back on all purchases for your first 90 days when you open your account and 1% cash back after that. This is subpar considering most similar credit cards offer 1.5% cash back on all purchases and some cards even offer 2% back for the life of the card.
  • Card design.
Design your own credit card with a photo of your choice. This feature is free when used for the first time. After that, a $9.95 fee per card applies.
  • No fees.
Save money on fees as the card has no cash advance fee, no balance transfer fees, no foreign transaction fees and no annual fees.

What to watch out for

  • No intro APR period.
You get a relatively low APR, but there’s no 0% intro APR on purchases or balance transfers. If that’s what you’re looking for, compare 0% intro APR credit cards.
  • Limited information.
You won’t find the card’s terms and conditions on the Hawaii State FCU website.
